Chroma Vision work with a number of police forces and private users to provide and support ANPR systems (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), both on large county wide systems through to the smaller entry levels.
As we are not tied to any single ANPR manufacture we are able to provide an unbiased opinion and recommendations on new or existing system upgrades. We can also maintain the many brands of ANPR equipment and associated interfaces.
The use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras which uses optical character recognition to read the license plates on vehicles, is now being recognised as the next phase in electronic security.
The plate readers can, by using either existing CCTV images or cameras specifically designed for the task, read and obtain number plate information and an overview of the driver if required, and relay this to a back office system, which can be programmed to provide a number of uses.
