£1.6m bid to DCMS for a BNET extension in the North West of Bristol – iterative development
30km project – restores 18km of unused duct, 5km new, link 7.3km of existing duct at Avonmouth

Scope of works
Rod and rope RF routes (18.410km)
Remove old RF cables
Clear all non-civils related duct blockages
Pressure wash the ducts
Confirm the location of the inspection chambers (boxes) with GPS recorded and communicated to BCC
Confirm the location of major blockages (requiring Civils) with GPS recorded and communicated to BCC
For each section, identify if the duct is clay construction or composite and the dimensions of the duct
Supply information in a GIS format compatible with our system
The recording of the chambers and blockages of this proving project is critical, in terms of network and accuracy.
